At our drug treatment center in Sandy, Utah we offer patients help, compassion, and hope. Admitting you need help and asking for it are important steps, and we admire those brave enough to take them. The path of an addict can be long and dark, but those with substance use disorders who seek help and dedicate themselves to their recovery have given themselves a second chance at life.
While many with substance use disorders may feel shame over their plight or their behavior leading up to it, the professional staff at our addiction recovery center steer patients down a brighter, healthier path. There is no shame in suffering from a disorder, and we encourage patients to feel proud and hopeful that they were able to find the strength to seek help. Here, we promote healing through therapy, enlightenment, and support.
What Is Drug Addiction?
The line between recreational use of a drug and full-blown addiction can be blurry. Many of the patients we treat thought they had their drug use under control. The day you realize you’re addicted usually comes after the culmination of a series of unpleasant consequences, such as the loss of your job, car, home, family, or even freedom.
